Did our November 22 healing ceremony at Dallas Love Field break the spell cast on the nation by JFK’s assassination? With publisher R.A. “Kris” Millegan, authors and journalists Paul Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Gould, and Bruce de Torres, moderator. Kris: The healing ceremony was successful. Lovely. That night and the next, I slept great. Usually, I have trouble sleeping in Dallas during conferences. (Then Kris read JFK’s 1963 Thanksgiving Proclamation. See below.) Liz: It was as if the ceremony every year at Dealey Plaza commemorating JFK’s assassination had been waiting for our healing ceremony at Love Field as a step beyond it. We brought it to the ground. We made the physical connection.
That is the whole idea of the empowerment of the true imagination. We’re drenched in blood. You can’t take the mental step out of the blood if you don’t have the mystical component. And that really is the point about your imagination. You have to begin, literally, to imagine what you want your future to be. And then it begins to show itself in very subtle forms. Paul: Liz and I met when I was in HAIR in 1970. But after doing Jesus Christ Superstar on Broadway, I realized that my future would not be on the stage. But HAIR remained a pivotal milestone in my life.
So, by singing flesh failures from HAIR at the healing ceremony, I was revisiting something that was deeply meaningful in my early life and I got to look at it from an adult perspective and you think oh, that’s the way Fate works. I was supposed to go through the experience in order to be the person I am today and to understand these things. Kris: Part of the intention of the ceremony was to free JFK’s spirit and let it return to the spirit of God and now we’ll continue with life down here.
We should continue discussing his vision of peace. And you can’t have peace without justice, which brings us back to the land rights and the land use issue. Edward Dodson described his eleven-lecture course he’s teaching for the Henry George School on the evolution of the Constitution, available on his YouTube channel, at YouTube dot com/@nthperson.
It’s about how the Constitution has been interpreted since its adoption. And he summarized how Henry George developed the ideas he put into his PROGRESS AND POVERTY: An inquiry into the cause of industrial depressions and of increase of want with increase of wealth … the remedy, one of the major themes explored by these Roundtables along with JFK’s vision of peace and the spiritual nature of reality, how George identified the monopoly of land rent and the related monopoly of land generally as the primary problem for the maldistribution of income and wealth in the world. Alanna Hartzok, Earth Right Visionary, elaborated on the land issue, per the title of her book, THE EARTH BELONGS TO EVERYONE, which is available as a free PDF at TheIU.org under Resources, then Books. The vision is to bring the truth of who we are down into economics and tax policy.
Taxing earned income is theft. What we want is to share the earth. Warfare or Earthshare, that is the question. Economic democracy should be based on the idea that everyone has a right to the planet as a birthright. That is indigenous wisdom. The treatment of Mother Earth as chattel for buying and selling and hoarding is a deep, deep wrong. The truth is oneness. We’re one human family sharing this one little planet.
